It starts in the north sector of El Pont de Suert village, following the marks of the GR-11 variant (internationally marked great route). After around 300 m slope we arrive at the plateau of Igüerri and Gotarta where we will see several houses and a farm. From the rural community of Igüerri we can follow the stoned pathway to Esperan – a small abandoned rural community–, where we will be able to see the remainings of an old mill near the stream and the Romanic church, still well preserved.
From here, we can get to the anciently fortified village of Erillcastell, nowadays abandoned, and from there to Malprs. From this village we walk half an hour to the ancient mines of Malpàs, and from there we can soon reach the rural community of Castellars. We will stay overnight in the rural house called “Abadia de Castellars” (used as well by the mountain bike circuit called “pedals de foc” -fire pedals-, which goes around the peripheral area of the National Park of “Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici” )
CASTELLARS - HOSTALETS DE MASSIVERT - MASSIVERT - PRAT D'HORT - CREU DE PERVES - ADONS
Stretch of the sheep track in the Llevata sector

Description of the itinerary:
From the small village of Castellars, we will go up for about 20 minutes until the track that goes to the rural community of Erta. At half slope we will deviate to Hostalet de Massivert and from there to the abandoned rural community of Massivert. At this point we can already clearly see the discernible trail of the sheep track in the top parts of the mountains. We will follow this itinerary until we get close to Creu de Perves.
The wide tracks of this sector will provide us with wonderful views on the north mountainsides of the Sant Gervrs mountain range and the Bosia valley. In ancient times this territory was called La Llevata. Evoking this past, at the right side we will see the beautiful village of Viu de Llevata, from where we could go back to the stating point Pont de Suert following ancient stoned paths.
